No-Objection-Letter (for death)

The Embassy provides No-Objection-Letter to ship the mortal remains (dead body/cremated remains) following death of a Nepali citizen in Canada. The letter is issued upon receipt of an application and other relevant documents from the immediate family members of the deceased by the Embassy (or through Department of Consular Services, Tripureshwor).

Required Documents:

• Letter from the funeral home/crematorium addressed to the Embassy,
• Passport copy of the deceased,
• copy of the visa/status paper of the deceased,
• copy of death certificate issued by competent authority of Canada,
• copies of statement of death, medical certificate of death, and other relevant documents issued by competent authority Canada,
• copy of Certificate for shipment issued by competent authority of Canada,
• copy of Consent letter from the family members of the deceased,
• copy of Letter issued by the funeral home/crematorium for repatriation.

Note:

The Embassy requests the immediate family members of the deceased to submit an application at the Deaprtment of Consular Services, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. The notification death of Nepali citizen in Canada can also be sent to the Embassy through email to: nepalembassy@rogers.com.

Other Consular matters:

Nepali citizens may report any specific issues (like: including missing person, arrest and severe accident involing Nepali citizen) to the Embassy in the following contact details. Such applications may also be submitted by the family members in Nepal at the Department of Consular Services, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu.
